BROOKE KEMPH

ACTOR

ABOUT ME!

Hello everyone! My name is Brooke Kemph and I am currently a Washington D.C. based actor. I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia where I spent my high school years at The Governor’s School for the Arts in downtown Norfolk studying in the theatre and film department. After graduation, I moved up to the D.C. area where I attended George Mason University. In 2022 I graduated with a B.A in Theatre Performance.

Acting has been my focus and passion for as long as I can remember. Childhood memories of lining up my stuffed animals to be my costars and “forcing” my sister to direct us in a scene together come to mind. As I grew up I tended to that love and let it blossom. Getting to explore not only the realm of the pretend (which more often then not can end up being very real), but also the realm of creation is something I hold very dearly to my heart.

I am also proud to be a mixed-race actor. In my free time I pay homage to my nana by making her famous Sri-Lankan curry (sorry, you can’t have the recipe!). When not performing you can also catch me writing, listening to music, tending to my pepper garden, and obviously, enjoying live theatre 🙂

Upcoming Show:

Klecksogrgaphy 2025

More than 30 DC-based theatre artists come together to create seven fresh new 10-minute plays in just 10 days. All seven plays are inspired by a single piece of visual art from the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery at George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts & Design. KLECKSOGRAPHY: VOX POPULI is a live-action inkblot test catalyzed by the themes and characters from Rorschach’s 2025 Psychogeographies Project: Vox Populi. (But don’t worry if you didn’t catch Psychogeographies–we’ll catch you up when you get there!)
