BROOKE KEMPH

ACTOR

ABOUT ME!

Hello everyone! My name is Brooke Kemph and I am a Washington D.C. based actor. I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia where I spent my high school years at The Governor’s School for the Arts in downtown Norfolk studying in the theatre and film department. After graduation, I moved up to the D.C. area where I attended George Mason University. In 2022 I graduated with a B.A in Theatre Performance.

Acting has been my focus and passion for as long as I can remember. Childhood memories of lining up my stuffed animals to be my costars and “forcing” my sister to direct us in a scene together come to mind. As I grew up I tended to that love and let it blossom. Getting to explore not only the realm of the pretend (which more often then not can end up being very real), but also the realm of creation is something I hold very dearly to my heart.

I am also proud to be a mixed-race actor. In my free time I pay homage to my nana by making her famous Sri-Lankan curry (sorry, you can’t have the recipe!). When not performing you can also catch me writing, sewing, tending to my pepper garden, petting my cat, and obviously, enjoying live theatre 🙂

THE THANKSGIVING PLAY

BY LARISSA FASTHORSE

NOV 20TH - 22ND

Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally woke teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.
